I initially wrote the music for this song for my friend John Doyle, who had a set of lyrics about some silliness going on at the European Commission and wanted "the most diddley-idle" sounding music he could get. I pulled out my cheap-ass Irish bouzouki and delivered, but asked him to write some lyrics in the same meter abour the quite ridiculous schism between the "True Finns" (Perussuomalaiset) and the not-quite-so-Nazi-but-still-pretty-Nazi spin-off party which was named, at various times, Blue Future or Blue Alternative.
